IRC, Internet Relay Chat, was created by Jarkko Oikarinen in August 1988. IRC is a real time messaging system with groups. You need an IRC software to use this service. There are 2 kinds of softwares used for IRC. 1st is called the server and other is called the client. Client is connected with server and this is how the messaging system works. Channel are also known as Chat Rooms in Modern World. Name of chat room starts with # sign. Commands starts with forward slash "/". For example /followed by the command name.
I think Southland Media should use IRC as there would be real time communication between other people.
